Escap® Ironless Rotor DC Micromotors and Step Motors - SDP/SI
The ironless rotor, in the form of a cylinder, rotates around the magnetic core. In Escape motors, the rotor is made in the form of a skew wound coil and is fixed to a disc carrying the commutator. According to the motor dimensions, the commutator has between 5 and 13 segments.

Apr 24, 2018 · You could replace an RG7 with an ABC or a Premier Components helical two stage gearbox. Typically they are fitted with Canon motors which draw a little more current than the Escap, but they are more robust, and produce much the same output.
