Oct 15, 2019 · I have an EXT3 formatted drive. Whilst using Linux Reader I can copy files from this drive to my desktop PC. All fine. Linux Reader, being a 'reader', obviously does not allow deleting files. Gave ext2fsd a try, but the delete option is greyed out for some reason. Then I activated WSL (in Windows Features) Installed ubuntu from the Microsoft store.

To use a Linux partition (ext*) you need to install a driver.... however I have only heard of windows drivers for ext2 partitions, which doesn't support journaling , so if the power went out your drive's data would be potentially nuked if you were accessing it at that time.
