Sep 2, 2014 · The Foremost machine is a Taiwan import, a clone I think of a Rockwell saw style from the 1970s. The fence is a "Jet-lock" rendered obsolete by T-square fences on most newer saws. You can work with it, sure, and the saw is priced attractively, but changing fence settings may be a bit slower than most of us are used to these days.

Feb 18, 2021 · Hello to the group, I just bought a used Foremost Machinery 14" Band Saw & I'm looking for an Owners/Users Manual, I'd also like to get a fence for it. Does anyone know where I might find these items, I've done a search and I'm not getting anywhere.

Apr 16, 2014 · Foremost was not a HF brand that I know of. Foremost is apparently out of business but the lathe probably uses off the shelf bearings and pulleys. Don't pay much for it. How much are they asking? Vaguely similar to some Craftsman lathes. The important things are does it spin true and the size of the threads and Morse taper.

Feb 17, 2020 · Several exporters used 'Foremost' in product name, I.E. Foremost Industries, Foremost Tools, Foremost Silverware, etc; just like companies adopt any local city name for business. There are still some Foremost named companies that came from that era in time, but original exporter (or OEM) of that tool is long gone due the age.

Jun 15, 2014 · I was doing some tuning to my drill press that I got last month on craigslist. It's an '80s taiwan-made model by 'Foremost Machinery'. The person I bought it from had used it exclusively for metalworking, I think. It's a 16-speed model and he had it set at the slowest speed.
