Oct 6, 2019 · This would mean ponyta would be super effective against dark, dragon, fighting and ghost. It would be able to hit every type (excluding some dual types) with at least neutral damage. The difference between these two dual typings becomes obvious pretty quickly. Fire/fairy type hits more things super effective but also gets walled by fire types.

Whether they increase the ratio of exclusive/ non-exclusive I can’t tell, depends on how you count and how far you go back. However I don’t remember anything being strictly locked behind eggs till around gen 3 / babies were released.

She chose based on the legendary, and we completely missed that Galarian Ponyta is only available in Shield, and Galarian Ponyta is currently one of her favorite Pokemon. I’d absolutely love to see something like a Galar-appropriate Whiscash of Cacturne evolution, or a Milotic Galar form referencing Arthurian legend...maybe a Tropius evolution
