May 15, 2019 · I found this little jar at an old, defunct mine yesterday. I brought it home and cleaned it up. It is oval in shape, and milk glass - a very cool little jar. There was no lid that I could find. The stamp on the bottom says POND'S in all capital letters. Below that is a larger 7, and below the 7 is a smaller 2.

May 23, 2022 · Found this AHK jar with a metal handle. The AHK logo has a line around it. Below it on left is a sideways 3. Below that is 713. Jar is 9 inches tall. The handle ends go into the glass but not through it. I suspect this jar contained a product but am not sure.

Illinois Glass Company based in Alton could be a possibility. Feb 5, 2024 · Knox had glass plants in Palestine TX and Jackson MS as well as in PA. We were located about halfway between the two and were able to search out some of the harder to find Knox jars. The Jackson plant was the only one to make half pints, and the TX plant was the only one to make salt & pepper shaker jars and Texas Mason jars.

Aug 16, 2009 · Hello, the pink Lamb Mason jar was clear originally. When glass is made it is not naturally clear and a decolorizer is needed. From about 1915 to about 1935 clear glass was made with a chemical that made the glass clear but over time from exposure from the sun the glass will turn pink or a yellow straw color.

Sep 19, 2009 · The jar I found, as the pic I posted earlier, is pretty dark. And since what you are saying is that they got cheaper on the glass in the later years. So my guess on age was pretty close then. The 40's. (not sure if any of that made sense, I am also texting right now.)
