Dec 29, 2019 · Title says it all, I did an install for a friend and ran a 35 foot HDMI cable. Since then they ripped the end off the hdmi cable that’️s at the receiver end, I’️m wondering if anyone ever replace one end of a very long cable. There’️s no way to pull it through and use it as a fish cord it twists all over the place

A short time later, as some workers were removing the TV to fix a different issue, they forgot to disconnect the HDMI cable from the back of the TV. The entire weight of the TV pulled the male end of the cable apart, making the connection inoperative.

It sounds like this might be the case, especially if the HDMI is on the long side. The only way to fix this, if that is the case, is to pull the cable and rerun it the correct way.
