I like trolling cut plug herring the best but have also done well trolling j-plugs, and the brads cut plug lures with anchovie scent depending on the day. I was just wondering on the brine for info. I usually thaw my frozen herring in the cooler on the way to the lake.

Apr 8, 2012 · Normal situations Ill use a flahser to the herring, and then the dirtier it gets after that, I shorten the leader, getting the herring closer to the flasher. That picture is from Shortbus' web page, that same rig would work with your diver, just substitute the slider/weight.
