It states that this successor (4311) for the 4310 "is due for production in August 1973" . It also states that "the 4310 will continue to be available until, at least, November 1973" .

Hi, I own a pair of JBL 4311B and have 2 questions. First, does anyone remember the list price of these when they were new? Even a ballpark number? I just don't remember. Second, what would be considered a comparable product in today’s market? Something that is great for rock music with similar qualities to the monitors I own. Thanks in advance!

Aug 27, 2018 · The paint that was applied by JBL turned out to be water based, that was confirmed by a swipe of nail polish remover. I lightly sanded all surfaces with 180 grit and had a liter of Sherwin Williams RAL 7038 mixed up.

Aug 25, 2018 · I have a pair of JBL 4311B speakers that are in pretty good condition. But, I need to replace the L-Pads. And while I am at it, I plan on replacing the capacitors as well. And the grill cloth has come loose, so I need to re-glue and/or replace the grill cloth. Otherwise, they appear to be minty. So far, I have removed the woofer and looked inside.

May 29, 2019 · I found a JBL's 'Technical Notes, Volume 1 Number 12' document I found on Polarity (I tried to attach it). It's dumbfounding how they do not mention the 4311B monitors, or the 2213H woofers. But as I mentioned I already did the battery test, and the positive voltage made the driver go in, so it appears the 2213H woofer is a 'negative system'.

Mar 9, 2011 · I will likely be building an up-scaled set just like the JBL ones but, yeeesh, a different logo. Simple reason I got these over the 4311B was the fact I got them for a price I couldn't refuse and the 4311B person was too slow getting back to me on a reasonable offer - You snooze, you lose! I am just as happy since I have L100's anyway...
