Do BattleMech Gyros Make Sense? - A Fluff Analysis
May 7, 2021 · So, it'll give the Mech a 'pull' that it has to counteract. Or, you lose the capacity to control that axis as both wheels shut-down. Suddenly, the Mech can't generate shift forward or backward (as an example) as well as it did prior to the damage, and that makes taking hits, running and jumping that much more difficult to compensate for.
Mech of the Week: Deimos - BattleTech
May 4, 2024 · The Inner Sphere stopped hearing about this mech during the chaos of the Jihad (and Wars of Reaving), but in the 3080s it was once again revealed as the Ravens settled into the Outworlds Alliance. Weighing in at 85 tons, the Deimos omnimech uses a 255XL engine to give itself a 3/5 movement, with occasional bursts of speed up to 64 kph thanks to ...
Bonus Mech of the Week: Wolverine II - BattleTech
Jan 17, 2025 · The result did dramatically change the mech's appearance. ’Mech of the Week: CRK-500*-* Crockett - BattleTech
Oct 11, 2020 · Predator is a new mech, not likely one they had a lot of or able to get in. The Crockett was a old SLDF left over which means they did not have to go to outside sources. As also stated, the Crockett also used same supply chain . . . standard armor, 255 SFE, same size Gyro, same size Jump Jets, same series/sizes of actuators and could/should ...
Mech of the Week: Canis - BattleTech
Dec 23, 2022 · Interestingly enough, this gives it the same movement profile as the Legacy - a 'mech with enough similarities to be its long-lost cousin. 15 tons of armor offer a wall of armor that is hard to pierce, although its 9, 37/12 (center torso), 23/10 (side torsos), 25 (arms), 33 (legs) armor layout could be better spread to deal with IS or Clan ...
