I wonder how Longines would reconcile that with the fact that it goes contrary to the pattern of open-face calibre numbers ending in odd numbers!

If it is a Longines in a Swiss case, it is all original if the numbers in the case match that of the watch. Different numbers do not necessarily mean switching occurred.

Nov 7, 2010 · A 1260 Longines wrench is a device to compress the crystal enough to remove it from the case. A crystal lift is usually used now. The correct method is to remove the crystal, then rotate the crown until the split stem is in position so you can tilt the movement to separate the stem and remove the movement from the case.
Longines 12.91 centre second watch , need some help
Oct 26, 2024 · I need a little help with this 12.91 centre second Longines I'm trying to get going. As you may be able to see the wheel over the 3rd that drives the centre second pinion is missing. I have been lent some wheels that are so close but not close enough. A wheel with 8.9mm nearly touches so I'm estimating that the wheel is 9mm to 9.1 with 75 teeth.
