Apr 1, 2010 · The M7 is the LIRR version, the M7-A is the MNRR version. The only difference between the two is their third rail capability. An easy way to tell which is which is the car end, M7A MNCRR is painted blue while the M7 LIRR is panted yellow on bottom and black on top !
