Jan 14, 2022 · Unfortunately Rise is even worse than Iceborne when it comes to element. With Crit Element badly nerfed and the vast majority of skills only boosting raw damage there's very little reason to make elemental sets aside from the usual suspects like bow or DB. It's a shame because IB did succeed in bringing a lot more weapons to do ele builds.

The tips that you all gave to me from my last post was very helpful. My last monster hunter game was Portable 3rd on a psp and I main switch axe there. Now that I play the rise base game, I started to main the insect glaive weapon and I think I'm going try switch axe again.

Dec 11, 2022 · Rise and World are great games, i wouldnt call MH Games hard they have a good "level" curve, even if they dont a level system. My tip would be stick to one weapon an lern the fundamantals, by just doing missions and/or watching youtube videos.

Nov 15, 2022 · Short: MHW is a more complete package, while Rise is the new-new, and will obviously have more players atm, and is still getting updates. Both games are amazing, but I recommend Rise first, simply because it’s the latest MH title.

Rise's mobility is also unmatched, between the Wirebugs and new skills, and the typical MH Rise hunt will see you grappling and swinging and chasing monsters across the various maps, feeling like a monster-hunting ninja.
