Mar 5, 2025 · While traveling school to school with NW Noggin I’ve engaged with students in a number of amazing ways, from handling brains with them to creating pipe cleaner models of neurons together! My favorite part of each trip though, by far, has been talking with the students about their questions.

Oct 1, 2024 · NW Noggin depends on volunteers to help run their free educational events and NogginFest is one of our largest events of the year! We found amazing volunteers from all over Oregon and southwest Washington, with the Interdisciplinary Neuroscience Association at PSU at the core of the team.

NW Noggin gathers graduates and undergraduates in psychology, neuroscience, and art from the Portland, Oregon, area to design and deliver their own multiweek programs on the brain and behavior for students in public schools.

So Northwest Noggin and the PSU Interdisciplinary Neuroscience Association/Neuro Club are stepping up for our EIGHTH annual NOGGINFEST! And this year we’re adding a BRAIN FAIR and a Society for Neuroscience Chapter Meeting, with MORE research speakers and research posters, MORE brains, MORE live music and MORE art!

The legendary Fort George Brewery in Astoria often donates drinks, and we’ve held, intrigued and gained insight into brains with anyone curious about learning more!
