Rhododendron P.J.M is a hybrid evergreen rhododendron reaching 3 to 6 feet high and wide. Spring flowers attract butterflies including the giant swallowtail, pipevine swallowtail, and spicebush swallowtail. The leathery, evergreen leaves are smooth and dark green, changing to a purplish-red color in fall.

PJM rhododendrons are a group of hybrid, broadleaf evergreen shrubs in the Ericaceae (blueberry) family that were developed by Peter J. Mezitt and his son in the 1930s to be exceptionally winter hardy.
