Playtime Project’s program model is built to support resiliency in children and families experiencing housing insecurity. Last year in FY2024, we served 618 individuals across all these programs, with the majority being served at our regular play programs.

20 Years of Playtime : Playtime Project
Starting with only a few passionate volunteers at what was once the largest shelter in DC, Playtime now has 16 staff members, a volunteer force over 150 strong, and weekly programs at nine shelter, school, and community-based sites.

Playtime's administrative office is in St. Stephen and the Incarnation Episcopal Church, which has an important mission of service and social justice and is home to several nonprofit organizations.

The Homeless Children’s Playtime Project (Playtime) is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization. The Internal Revenue Service recognizes contributions made to Playtime as tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
