The Python mk2 gained an additional Large Hardpoint and +2 Utility slots, which brings the Python mk2 on par to the Fer De Lance.

The Python Mk2 is a fighter that wants to compete with the FDL instead, being nimble for its size and having more hardpoints than the Mk1 Python. As for the T-8, from what we know now it's going to be a better variant of the T-7.

The Python was already the best medium ship in the game. It was decent at combat, it's a great miner, and the best cargo/passenger runner for outpost missions. Hell, it's even better than the Type-7 large ship at cargo transport. Anyone who expected that the Python Mk.2 would be better than the original Python can't be serious.

May 7, 2024 · The Python 2 runs cold naturally. It is geared for running an SCO and an overcharged power plant at the same time. I can boost 6+ seconds without overheating using the grade 5A SCO. Making the heatsink it comes with pointless. The Python 2 is decently fast and way under armored.

Jul 2, 2018 · Python is the better Multirole ship. Krait has more agility, it makes a better bounty hunter and piracy ship. Haven't flown Challenger or its little bro Chieftain, but imho Python is still king of multipurpose ship for earning CRs and grinding ranks.
