Several people have converted from Standard wings to Sport wings, and I believe the RANS factory still offers kits for the conversion. From what I've heard (not done one myself), it's a pretty much "plug and play" swap out if you buy their kit.

What is the relative performance of the various S-6 wing variants, which I take to be: Original wing (slowest) "116" wing (fastest) Sport wing (compromise) Many S-6s on the market have the "116" wing. Is this a good choice for a STOL airplane? What about VGs -- how does a 116 wing with VGs compare to an Original or Sport wing? Ihab Awad

Nov 16, 2010 · 1. you need to build a dolly to support the wing and keep it from draging the ground while it is folded. 2.you need two people, three is better. 3.remove wing fairings and cuffs, make sure your wings arnt attached to your green house either by screws or by silicone.

May 21, 2014 · The S-20 is a fabric-covered high-wing design with a chromoly steel cage and aluminum wing structure. The cages are MIG welded and painted in the RANS shop, with powder coating available for an extra $1200.
