The Perseus is a large patrol gunship developed in the late 2520s by Roberts Space Industries (RSI) for the United Planets of Earth Navy (UPEN). It was redesigned as a civilian model in 2950 with modern components and an emphasis on additional utility.

Feb 18, 2021 · PERSEUS SUMMARY: Perseus is perfect for a small crew looking to hunt the smaller, sub-cap Ships. It is singular in its design/role and excels in it. It is much cheaper to operate, and requires lesser crew as well. The health pool and damage potential is less than that of the Polaris; though a S5 Torp is smaller and faster than the S10s.

The Perseus is the anti-ship counterpart to the Hammerhead anti- fighter role for a fleet. They are meant to complement each other in a group of ships. Along with fighter support and larger capital ship(s), this would constitute the combat aspect of fleets.

I must say that if this is actually going to be the RSI Perseus I like it very much. I always wanted a corvette-sized warship with a central bridge on top overlooking the main body and a large caliber deck-gun.
