This is Union Pacific Railroad's last remaining of the 75 SW10 switcher locomotives. The SW10 design was unique to the Union Pacific and was “manufactured” by the UP in their Omaha, Wyoming shops.

Jun 8, 2004 · The SW10 was a UP contrivance from the GP7 and GP9 into a switcher loco. They were strictly a UP product. A few were outshopped from the SLC engine facility.
