Nov 18, 2013 · I'm planning on replacing an inoperable Honeywell T40 thermostat with a Salus RT300RF. The T40 has an earth wire, a brown (live) to terminal 1 and a blue(neutral) to terminal 3. My intention is to fit the RT300RF receiver in place of the T40 but it isn't clear from the wiring instructions for the RT300RF how to do this.

Jan 22, 2015 · At the moment we have a honeywell T40 thermostat and I was thinking of something like the Salus RT500RF instead. The T40 have three cables wired into it and red and a blue one as well as and earth. Would I be able to just do a straight swap or would there be a lot more too it than that?

Feb 6, 2010 · My old Honeywell T40 room thermostat has lost the will to live so the plan is to upgrade it to the Salus RT300. My problem is this. Currently the T40 is connected as follows - a black wire goes to terminal 1, a red wire goes to terminal 3 and the earth goes to the earth.
