Nov 5, 2024 · For most PvE activities, sentry drones are better than heavy drones. Their long range allows them to kill many rats before they get close enough to be dangerous to you, and heavy drones' travel time largely negates their on-paper DPS advantage.

Feb 3, 2022 · Sentry drones are awesome. Short range ones (gardes) do good damage. Longer range ones (curator/bouncer) have less damage but can go to 125-150 km with some modules. They do a lot less damage that heavy drones, but due to their range, their damage is instant. So less travel time, before dps applies. They used to be great in PVE.

Jan 19, 2016 · Sentry drones are basically heavy drones that trade all mobility for range. At extremely close ranges, they are really only good against battlecruiser and battleship NPCs (due to poor tracking). At range though (we are talking 30+ km out) they can nuke almost anything making a beeline towards you.

May 2, 2011 · Control range is, as you found out, the maximum range *from you* that you can order drones to attack. Sentry drones do a boatload of damage on top of the fact that they have no "travel time" like heavies and mediums do.
