The Secure Provider Online Tool (SPOT) is a free, web-based application for providers, billing services, and clearinghouses hosted through CMS' Identity Management (IDM) system, which provides access to an abundance of Medicare data. SPOT has a direct help desk for free support along with many online resources and self-service tools.

SPOT offers registered users the convenience of online access to essential Medicare data; including: claim status, payment history, benefits/eligibility information, MBI (Medicare beneficiary identifier) lookup, remittance advice details, status of medical review-related ADRs (additional documentation requests), and data reports.
