Also Knuckles is about equal in power to Sonic, so it would make sense for both to turn Super. Even still, what does that make Sonic 3's Super Tails and Hyper Knuckles?

Oct 29, 2023 · So while we have had Super Knuckles from the Chaos Emeralds in a past game, it’s never actually appeared in canon. It’s not like Hyper Sonic or Super Tails whom both require the Super Emeralds, but at the same time it kinda just ends up being non-canon like them.

Oct 29, 2023 · Super Knuckles was just his regular red with a white glow effect. It's just that when you transition red to white, the in-between frames end up as pink. Even in Superstars, the glow effect still makes him look slightly pinker, it's just less pronounced since it's a geniune lighting effect instead of a palette transistion.

Jul 18, 2022 · In Sonic Origins there's now a regular Super Tails and the original Super Tails has been renamed Hyper Tails, so although I haven't seen it I think it's very likely Tails can now go Super in Sonic 2 as well. Knuckles has always had both Super and Hyper forms.

Knuckles wasn't shown to be carrying the Master Emerald anywhere on him when he hit Super Sonic. He just sort of comes up from the ground and hits him. Unless he buried that huge-ass emerald underneath the ground so he could "charge" himself with that power and just ran off with the chaos emeralds, leaving the Master Emerald buried underground.

I've read every comic, and yes, the characters do get proper forms. Knuckles becomes Hyper Knuckles who is pink and I'm pretty sure has longer dreads. Tails becomes Turbo Tails where he became a lighter color and gained a red cape. No flickies though. There are several stories where Super Sonic and Hyper Knuckles fight.

Jun 16, 2023 · In which this matches the definite canon forms, as only those 3 (and Mecha) have definitively gone “pure” super. Blaze isn’t a super form, it’s “super” from an alternate dimension. And Tails and Knuckle only got the “Super bubbles” in heroes. The other’s super forms in the early games are questionably canon.
