Tantalum arsenide - Wikipedia
Tantalum arsenide is a compound of tantalum and arsenic with the formula TaAs. It is notable as being the first topological Weyl semimetal that was identified and characterized by ARPES. [3] Tantalum arsenide crystallizes in a body-centered tetragonal unit cell with lattice parameters a = 3.44 Å and c = 11.65 Å. It belongs to the space group I41md.
mp-1936: TaAs (tetragonal, I4_1md, 109) - Materials Project
TaAs is alpha Niobium phosphide structured and crystallizes in the tetragonal I4_1md space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Ta3+ is bonded to six equivalent As3- atoms to form a mixture of distorted face, edge, and corner-sharing TaAs6 pentagonal pyramids.
Mechanism of aortic medial matrix remodeling is distinct in …
Altered matrix architecture and reduced collagen maturity suggest that the effector molecules mediating the remodeling of TAAs are different in BAV and TAV cases. The highly aligned matrix architecture in patients with BAVs indicates that wall remodeling is distinct from TAV-TAA.
Anomalous electronic structure and magnetoresistance in TaAs 2
Jun 7, 2016 · Here we show that the non-magnetic semimetal TaAs 2 possesses a very large negative magnetoresistance, with an unknown scattering mechanism.
TaAs Crystal - 2D Semiconductors
World's first commercially available Tantalum arsenide (TaAs) crystals. TaAs is the first experimentally identified topological Weyl semimetal. It crystallizes in a body-centered tetragonal cell with lattice parameters a = 3.44 Å and c = 11.65 Å. It belongs to the space group I41md.

prominent BCD near the Fermi level. Notably, TaAs, a type-I Weyl semimetal, exhibits substantial B. rry curvature but a small BCD around the Fermi level. In this study, we employed first-principles methods to comprehensively investigate the BCD in TaAs.
Proteinase systems and thoracic aortic aneurysm progression
May 15, 2007 · A number of recent studies have identified that the relative abundance and activity of extracellular matrix (ECM) proteolytic systems are increased with TAAs. Specifically, the matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) have been linked through numerous studies to TAA formation.
A biologic basis for asymmetric growth in descending thoracic …
Feb 1, 2006 · Immunohistochemical staining of matrix metalloproteinase 2 (MMP-2) in thoracic abdominal aneurysms (TAAs) demonstrates decreased staining in the anterior wall (A) compared with the posterior wall (B) in a TAA.
Plasma biomarkers for distinguishing etiologic subtypes of thoracic ...
Background: Thoracic aortic aneurysms (TAAs) develop through an asymptomatic process resulting in gross dilation that progresses to rupture if left undetected and untreated. If detected, patients with TAA are followed over time until the risk of …
