Thou is an American sludge metal band formed in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in 2005. [1] The current lineup of the band consists of Bryan Funck (vocals), Andy Gibbs (guitar), Matthew Thudium (guitar and vocals), Mitch Wells (bass), KC Stafford (guitar and vocals), and Tyler Coburn (drums).

Riff Merchant Records organized a tribute album for the band titled "Heavier Than Thou" (May 2022). Compilation appearances: - "Chained" on Invocation Of Sacred Resonance I (Southern Lord Recordings, 2008) - "4th of July (Soundgarden cover)" on Hell Comes Home - Volume 1 (Hell Comes Home, 2012)

Their latest record Umbilical, Thou's first full-length release of original music since their 2018 Sacred Bones debut Magus, is their firmest nod to the latter - a record filled with mosh-ready riffs, heavy breakdowns and scathing vocals.
