The Mitsubishi Lancer WRC is a World Rally Car built by Ralliart, Mitsubishi Motors' motorsport division, to compete in the World Rally Championship. The previous Lancer Evolution series were homologated for the Group A class, and their competitiveness against World Rally Cars from other manufacturers was therefore limited.

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, popularly referred to as the 'Evo', [1] is a sports sedan and rally car based on the Lancer that was manufactured by Japanese manufacturer Mitsubishi Motors from 1992 until 2016.

The big bonnet duct, the beak-shaped nose and the trademark large intercooler low down in the front spoiler make the Evo 8 an effective clearer of lanes on the motorway.

Feb 7, 2020 · For me, Mitsubishi’s rallying history comprises of one car in particular – the Lancer Evolution WRC. It’s hardly surprising considering the third, fourth, fifth and sixth Evolutions were all World Rally Championship winners. However, it was Mitsubishi’s over reliance on the ageing Group A-based car which saw them fall behind the competition.

Overall it's a very raw and visceral drive that can be rough depending on coilovers. At the end of the day we don't own these cars for comfort or nice interiors, because the drive is exceptional and I love my 8 more than any car I've owned. Rawest form of a sports car sedan.
