Nov 28, 2022 · An audio extractor cannot extract the lossless formats to optical. Your best option is to see the Blu-ray player to PCM output so it decodes the audio and sends it to the extractor. Optical can accept 2 channel lossless only.

Mar 19, 2019 · For audio, I do the Dish Optical Out to the Input of the AVR Optical. So I do get surround sound as far as the Dish sound goes. Giving thought to upgrading to a new projector and a new receiver with 2 HDMI outs on the receiver side and 2 ins on the projector side. Ordering an HDMI audio extractor just for the Roku, short term solution.

Some more playing around also revealed that if I put in the DVI connector in at a slanted angle, and not all the way in, it made the audio extractor work as it should.

Dec 20, 2013 · Once the Computer has fully booted to your Desktop try toggling the Input on the TV away from then back to the relevant HDMI Input - which ought to kick-start the HPD process (assuming the Audio Extractor passes the relevant triggers to the TV).
