I posted here a few days ago with a new take on the classic r/CFB imperialism / empires map. My version was based on mapping the "power projection" of each top 25 team over their nearby geographical area, which is cool IMO but has the downside of leaving off the teams that aren't in that week's top 25.

Oct 17, 2021 · Well right now the three teams on that map are Georgia, Purdue and Texas A&M Georgia and Kentucky merged their 2020 land. The only two teams with land on the 2020 map currently scheduled to play each other this year are Oklahoma and Oklahoma State, and it seems unlikely they'd both win out until Bedlam Chattanooga got its way onto the 2016 map.
