Designed by British designer Trevor Fiore, the T11 was built in 1970, and was due to show at the 1971 Geneva Motor Show. It was equipped with a lightly tuned 1.5-litre Austin Maxi drivetrain turned by 180 degrees.

There were also plans to market a completely new car, the T11. This was to be a rear engined 2 seater using the transverse Austin Maxi engine and gearbox, a similar configuration to the Diablo that became the AC 3000ME.

Oct 28, 2015 · Created in 1971 by Gilbern (who were Wales only sports car manufacturer), the T11 Prototype was to be the companies new two seat sports car. With a striking body by Trevor Fiore (of TVR Trident, Alpine A310 and Montiverdi 450 Hai fame), the T11 promised a great deal.

Apr 15, 2021 · Roger Collings, then owner of Gilbern Cars, contacted noted car stylist Trevor Fiore and persuaded him to move to Wales to work on 'Project T11'. Fiore had grown quite a reputation, having designed cars like the TVR Trident, Monteverdi Hai, and Elva GT160 and had worked in Milan under Fissore.

Jan 1, 2020 · In 1970, racing driver Terry Sanger had developed a tubular spaceframe chassis for the T11 with a mid-mounted 1.5-litre Austin Maxi. engine, hidden beneath a cut-down Genie bodyshell held on with G-clamps, at GS Cars in Bristol and tested it at Castle Combe.
