Using DPVs (dive propulsion vehicles) underwater lets you go much further into the caves and explore the depth. For very long dives, divers tow an extra DPV in case the primary one fails. On a long DPV push dive a rebreather diver could easily be towing 4 or more bailout tanks, extra DPVs etc. On land the gear weighs close to 150-200kg (300-500 pounds) but in the water it’s all weightless.
