Head Coach Mike Tomlin and the Pittsburgh Steelers made a bold decision by handing the keys of the offense over to veteran quarterback Russell Wilson after Justin Fields led the team to a 4-2 start in 2024.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have ‘internal optimism’ that they will sign Justin Fields to a new deal, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN. Fields could test the market, but Fowler has noted that if the Steelers can give Fields a starting job, he is interested in returning to the team.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have some decision making to do this offseason and the team is reportedly split on whether they should bring back Russell Wilson or Justin Fields at the quarterback position.
