FORT PAYNE, Ala. – After making a return in 2023, the June Jam Festival, hosted by country music legends Alabama, will take a hiatus this year.

Over 50 years ago, Jeff Cook, Teddy Gentry, and Randy Owen left Fort Payne, Alabama’s cotton farms, to spend the summer playing music in a Myrtle Beach, South Carolina bar called The Bowery.
