Intuitive Machines is set to launch its second moon lander, which will use NASA and commercially developed tools to search for ice in the moon's crust, after Odysseus tipped over during touchdown last February.

A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket is about to launch a number of missions, including a private lunar lander, a lunar satellite for NASA and a prospecting probe for an asteroid-mining company

According to NASA, should the Feb. 26 launch take place, Intuitive Machines' Nova-C lander will reach the Moon next month and will attempt a landing on its surface no earlier than March 6. It will take approximately one week for Athena to make its way to the Moon.

Intuitive Machines out of Texas is sending a second lunar lander, this time Athena, to the moon, where it will drill for water, ice and other gases.

The IM-2 Mission, which includes the "Athena" lunar lander developed by Intuitive Machines in Houston, is scheduled to blast off on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket to the Moon as soon as Wednesday.

Intuitive Machines made history last year as the first private company to put a robot on the moon, although the triumph was marred by the lander tipping onto its side.
