Leslie produces several two-chime Supertyfon horns, with the S-2M being the most popular. The horn uses the #31 and 44 bells, which are also the two highest notes in the once-ubiquitous S-3L three-chime horn.

Oct 30, 2011 · Leslie SuperTyfon horns were the replacement of the Tyfon horns. In particular, they were to replace the failed Tyfon Chime Tone line of multi-note horns. Interestingly, Leslie called the earliest SuperTyfon horns Chime Tone horns as well, which very quickly evolved to "chime whistles".

S2M: The S2M horn from Leslie was a two-chime horn with #31 and #44 bells. S3L: The S3L is probably one of the most widely used locomotive horns in the world. The S3L has #25, #31, and #44 bells.

Oct 8, 2020 · I know of two other former D&M horns in collector hands that have this very stout cones, that you could use as a weapon. While not the most pleasant sound, it does take me home, having grown up on the East coast around no shortage of commuter RS2M's.
